Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team fell 8-1 to Meredith at home today in USA South action. The Spirits are currently tied for fourth place with Meredith in the USA South East Division. Salem is 3-3 in conference play and 6-8 overall, while Meredith improves to 2-2 and 3-9.
Makenna Mason picked up the only win of the day for Salem at number 1 singles. She won 6-2, 6-0. The Avenging Angels were able to sweep the Spirits in doubles play.
The Spirits will host Pfeiffer tomorrow.
