WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Salem Spirits were topped by Southern Virginia University women's team 8-1 Tuesday afternoon.
"The team worked hard and communicated well in doubles," Tennis Coach Ed Steele said. "They were happy to get out on a sunny day and get some needed play time on the courts."
While the Knights swept the Spirits in the doubles Salem's Mackenna Mason took victory (6-1, 6-2) in her match, which leaves her still undefeated at No. 1.
