Salem had 46 student-athletes maintain at least 3.3 GPA over the course of the 2019-20 academic calendar, earning USA South Academic All-Conference accolades.

Lauren Holman, who completed her bachelor’s degree at Salem in 3.5 years, competed in both tennis and volleyball over her collegiate career. A native of Vale, N.C., Holman came to Salem after attending Fred T. Foard High School.
Ed Steele has been coaching tennis for over three decades, all along the East coast. He began his coaching career in New Hampshire in 1978. Since that point, Steele has coached in New England, Florida, New Jersey and most recently North Carolina.
