Washington, DC/Lynchburg, VA- The Salem College Spirits traveled this past weekend to Washington, DC to play Trinity College. At game time, only seven members were available to play. The short-handed Spirits fought hard, taking Trinity (1-15) to five games. The Spirits fell by the scores of 30-26, 26-30, 17-30, 30-26 and 8-15.

Salem College also played Hood College while in the Washington, DC area. Hood College (5-11) defeated the Spirits in three straight games 10-30, 14-30, 21-30. 

On the way home, Salem College stopped in Lynchburg, Virginia to play Randolph-Macon Women's College (7-16) in a non-conference volleyball match. The Spirits fell in three straight sets 10-30, 14-30, 21-30.

The Spirits (0-17) will play their final home game tonight at 7 pm as they host the Guilford College Quakers (2-22).
