Greensboro, NC- The Salem College volleyball team played two more matches today at the Greensboro College Tourney, and Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) was selected to the All-Tourney Team. Salem lost a GSAC match against Piedmont College (17-25, 9-25, 18-25) to even their conference record at 1-1. They also lost to Greensboro College (25-23, 22-25, 13-25, 16-25). Salem drops to 3-6 on the season.

Salem was able to win the first game against Greensboro, and came within three points of also winning the second set. Christine Tillman (King, NC) led Salem with 12 kills, 2 service aces, and 6 digs. Brittany Miller (Hays, NC) played a strong defensive match with 9 digs. Randi Roppolo (Weeki Wachee, FL) had 7 kills, and Maher had 17 assists against Greensboro.

Piedmont was the eventual champion of the tournament. Salem returns to action on September 17th when they host North Carolina Wesleyan.
