Volleyball defeats Piedmont Baptist for second time

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team defeated Piedmont Baptist College (21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19) for the second time this season. The Spirits traveled up the road to take on PBC, and Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) led the Spirits with 45 set assists and 13 digs. The Spirits improved their season mark to 9-17.

The Spirits were able to battle back after losing the first set to win the next three. Khadija Layne (Dorchester, MA) had 21 digs to lead the Spirits. Christine Tillman (King, NC) had 16 kills and two blocks in the match. Latricia Maye (Vestavia Hills, AL) had 13 kills, and Randi Roppolo (Weeki Wachee, FL) provided 11 more. Katie O'Leary (Seldova, AK) led the Spirits with 5 service aces.

Salem returns to action this Saturday when they travel to Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte.
