Charlotte, NC-The Salem College volleyball team defeated Johnson C. Smith today on the road (25-17, 25-16, 25-16). This marks the second time that the Spirits beat JCSU this season.  Christine Tillman (King, NC) had a very strong match with 19 kills, 1 block, and 4 service aces. Salem improved to 10-17 with the win, and JCSU fell to 3-23.

Salem never let JCSU in the match, handily beating them in all three sets. Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) continued her excellent play with 16 set assists and a team high 6 service aces. Randi Roppolo (Weeki Wachee, FL) and Allegra Thomson (Dalzell, SC) each had 3 service aces for the Spirits. Khadija Layne (Dorchester, MA) led Salem with 2 blocks.

The Spirits return to action next Saturday when they travel to Guilford College for their final regular season match.
