Davie County High's Stewart commits to play volleyball at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball program is pleased to announce that Brittani Stewart has committed to attend Salem next fall. Stewart played middle and outside hitter for Coach Becky Miller at Davie County High School in Mocksville, NC for four years. The Spirits volleyball team is coming off of two consecutive fourth-place finishes in the Great South Athletic Conference. 

Stewart was selected as the 2010-2011 Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year for Davie High. She was chosen as the Outstanding Offensive Volleyball Player for the War Eagles in 2010. She was on the all-conference team her junior and senior seasons.

She also played club volleyball for the Davie Dazzle for three years, most recently for Coach Denise Hayes. Stewart was selected to the USA Volleyball 18-Gold All-Tournament Team in 2010 with the Dazzle. She also was an outstanding basketball player for the War Eagles. She is the daughter of Kim and Lefty Stewart.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772.
