Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball program is excited to announce that Roslyn Nixon has committed to attend Salem next fall. Nixon played outside hitter for Coach Teresa Allen at Hunt High School in Wilson, NC for four years. The Spirits volleyball team is coming off of two consecutive fourth-place finishes in the Great South Athletic Conference. 

Nixon raised the bar for Hunt in 2009 and 2010. She helped the Warriors win the Big East Conference Tournament Championship for three straight years from 2009-2011. Nixon played club volleyball for Coach Colby Kecia and Coach Rick Moore with the WAVE Club for three years. 

She had an excellent academic career at Hunt and was involved in many extracurricular activities. She received academic excellence honors and was on the "A" Honor Roll. She was also a member of the Model U.N. Club, DECA Club, and Youth Alive Club at Hunt. Nixon plans to major in political science at Salem. She is the daughter of Velvet and Donald Nixon.
