Tillman selected to both GSAC All-Conference and All-Academic Teams

LaGrange, GA-The Great South Athletic Conference announced that Christine Tillman (King, NC) was selected to the GSAC Volleyball All-Conference and All-Academic teams. Tillman capped off an excellent career at Salem this weekend in the GSAC quarterfinals. She owns Salem records in kills and blocks.

Tillman finished the season ranked in the top ten in two statistical categories in the GSAC. Tillman was ranked fourth in the conference in hitting percentage (.270), and 6th in kills per game (2.72).

She led the Spirits in kills on the season with 269 and she was third in service aces with 26. Tillman also led the team with 223 digs and 90 blocks this season.

An athlete must maintain a 3.25 grade point average and be a sophomore or above to be selected to the GSAC All-Academic team. Tillman was joined on this team by Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) and Katie O'Leary (Seldovia, AK).
