Volleyball falls in five sets to LaGrange in GSAC quarterfinals

Decatur, GA-The Salem College volleyball team lost in an extremely close match against LaGrange in the Great South Athletic Conference quarterfinals hosted by Agnes Scott. LaGrange needed five close sets to defeat the Spirits (25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-17). Christine Tillman (King, NC) had an excellent last match at Salem with 9 kills, 13 digs, 4 solo blocks, and 9 block assists. Salem finishes the regular season with an 8-21 overall record.

Keri Nolan (Calabash, NC) led the Spirits in the match with 17 kills, and Randi Roppolo (Weeki Wachee, FL) provided 12 kills. Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) had a very strong match with 41 set assists and 2 service aces. Brittany Miller (Hays, NC) led Salem with 18 digs, and Khadija Layne (Dorchester, MA) had 13 digs. Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) also had 2 service aces. 

Salem finished the season as the fourth place team in the GSAC regular season.
