Greensboro, NC- The Salem College volleyball team dropped their first match of the season on the road at Greensboro College. Greensboro swept the Spirits in three sets (11-25, 13-25, 18-25). Salem falls to 0-1 on the season, and Greensboro improves to 1-0.

Khadija Layne (Dorchester, MA) led the Spirits with 7 kills, and Randi Roppolo (Weeki Wachee, FL) added 6 more kills. Roppolo would also lead the Spirits with 6 digs and 2 service aces. Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) added 15 assists and 3 digs. Cassie Durham (Dobson, NC), who transferred from Surry Community College, added 5 digs.

Salem returns to action this weekend when they travel to play at the Eastern Mennonite University Hampton Inn & Sleep Inn Invitational.
