Greensboro, NC-The Salem College volleyball team could not avoid the season sweep by the Guilford Quakers last night. Guilford defeated the Spirits 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 25-18). Salem falls to 6-14, while Guilford improves to 12-14.

Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) led the Spirits with 10 kills. Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) continued to add to her Salem set assist record with 21. She also had 2 service aces. Zy Henderson (Spartanburg, SC) finished the match with 19 digs to lead Salem.

The Spirits return home on Saturday for their most important match of the season. They play Agnes Scott at 2:00 with a chance to win the Great South Regular Season Championship on the line.
