Volleyball falls in non-conference action at Greensboro

Greensboro, NC-The Salem College volleyball team lost to Greensboro College in non-conference play tonight at Greensboro. The Pride defeated Salem 3-0 (22-25, 18-25, 22-25). Michelle Morgan (Chattanooga, TN) led Salem with 14 kills and a kill percentage of .440. Salem falls to 1-4 this season, and Greensboro improves to 2-3.

"Michelle controlled the middle tonight and hit a remarkable .440," said Head Coach Dana Wall. "We had some of the most amazing rallies I've ever seen."

Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) had 28 set assists and Zy Henderson (Spartanburg, NC) had 30 digs to lead Salem in each category. "Chelsea led the squad in the close battle and Zy played amazing defense." Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) and Taylor Rhodes (Jamestown, NC) each had 3 service aces for Salem.

The Spirits return to action on September 10th, when they host their first home match of the season against NC Wesleyan.
