Volleyball pulls out big win at Agnes Scott

Decatur, GA-The Salem College volleyball team picked up a huge conference win against Agnes Scott to increase their chances at a Great South Regular Season Title. The Spirits came back from a 2-1 deficit to win 3-2 on the road. Salem won 18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11. Michelle Morgan (Chattanooga, TN) continued her hot play with 17 kills and 4 blocks. Salem improves to 5-11 overall and 3-0 in the Great South. 

After falling in the first set, Salem began to control the match. They were able to jump out to a 13-7 lead in the fifth and deciding set, and hang on for the important road win.

Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) finished with 10 kills, and LaSashia Connelly (Morganton, NC) added 8 kills. Zy Henderson (Spartanburg, SC) was huge on defense with 21 digs, while Taylor Rhodes (Jamestown, NC) had 15 and Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) had 12. Jones added 32 set assists, and Rhodes and Nixon each had 2 service aces. 

The Spirits return home on October 17th when they host Toccoa Falls at 7:00.
