Chelsea Jones joins Volleyball Staff

Winston-Salem, NC-Head Coach Dana Wall is excited to announce that former Salem College volleyball standout Chelsea Jones will be the new Salem College Volleyball Assistant Coach.

Jones made Salem College Athletic History in 2012 by becoming the first athlete in any sport to earn Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC) Most Valuable Player, while leading her team to Salem's first GSAC Conference Title and NCAA bid.

Jones has been coaching club for 5 years and coached her Alleghany Volleyball Club team to a regional championship title. She is currently a coach for the Salem College based Spirits (Fluid) Volleyball Club.

She recently graduated from Salem with a major in education and a minor in coaching. She is teaching seventh grade language at Meadowlark Middle School.

"I'm very excited to have Chelsea continue to be part of this team," Coach Wall said. "As an exceptional student and athlete, she is the epitome of what a Salem College athlete should be. She's been there and done that and has a lot of knowledge to share."
