Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team had their four game win streak snapped in their home opener against Hollins. Hollins jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in sets and held on for the 3-1 win (11-25, 16-25, 25-21, 10-25). Salem falls to 5-7 overall, while Hollins improves to 4-12.

Zykeya Henderson led the Spirits with 23 digs, while Hillary McPhatter had 12 digs and Amber Bass had 11. Roslyn Nixon had 2 solo blocks, and Mariah Sharon had 2 block assists. McPhatter led the Spirits with 6 kills and Bernisha Master had 4.

The Spirits return to action at home against Greensboro tonight at 7:00.
