Henderson breaks 1,000 digs against Greensboro

Winston-Salem, NC-Zykeya Henderson had 24 digs tonight to put her career dig total over 1,000. Salem jumped out early to a 1-0 lead, but Greensboro swept the next three sets for the win (25-23, 24-26, 21-25, 12-25). Salem falls to 5-8, while Greensboro improves to 11-4.

Henderson has only been on the volleyball team since her sophomore season, so she broke 1,000 in only 3 years. Henderson is also on the basketball team for Salem.

Mariah Sharon added 18 digs and Taylor Rhodes had 15. Hillary McPhatter led the Spirits with 12 kills and a .114 kill percentage. Rhodes had 20 set assists. Sharon led the Spirits with 2 service aces, and Bernisha Master had 1 solo block and 1 block assist. 

The Spirits hit the road next Tuesday when they travel to St. Andrews at 7:00.
