Volleyball crushes Hollins on road

Roanoke, VA-The Salem College volleyball team redeemed themselves with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-20) victory at Hollins. Hollins came to Salem and won 3-1, but Salem cruised to a victory in their re-match. Kylie Taffer had 14 kills and a .258 kill percentage. Salem improves to 6-11, while Hollins falls to 4-18.

Taylor Rhodes led the Spirits with 32 set assists and she also had 8 digs and 5 kills. Hillary McPhatter had a strong night with 9 kills and 15 digs. Zykeya Henderson led the Spirits with 19 digs, while Mariah Sharon had 8 digs. Taffer and Roslyn Nixon each had 3 block assists. Henderson led the team with 2 service aces.

The Spirits return to action on Friday at Johnson and Wales.
