Volleyball set to celebrate seniors tonight

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team will celebrate its four seniors tonight. The Spirits will host cross-town rival Piedmont International at 7:00.

This excellent group of seniors recently won their second straight Great South Regular Season Title. They also won the GSAC Tournament their sophomore year. Here are the four seniors:

Amber Bass: Amber is a defensive specialist from Clinton, NC. She is a three-year member of the team. Amber currently has 110 digs, which is fourth best on the team. She also has 7 service aces for the season. She is a four-year member of the softball team. Bass is majoring in special education (K-12) and general education (K-6). She plans to either enter the military or become a special education teacher next year.

Zykeya Henderson: Zy is a libero from Spartanburg, SC. She is a three-year member of the team and also plays basketball. Zy currently leads the teams with an amazing 485 total digs and 6.85 digs per set. She is crushing the Great South leaders in both categories. She was a GSAC all-conference performer as a sophomore and junior. She is currently in the top five nationally in digs per set. Zy is an interior design major.

Roslyn Nixon: Roslyn is a four-year opposite hitter from Wilson, NC. She is currently third on the team with 141 kills and 1.88 kills per set. She is sixth in the GSAC leaderboard on both categories. She is third on the team with 18 block assists. She is majoring in psychology with a minor in political science and communications. She plans to continue her education and attend Wake Forest Law School.

Chanice Williams: Chanice is a three-year outside hitter from Newark, NJ. She is currently fifth on the team with 53 kills and a .75 kill percentage. She also has 12 block assists this season and 34 digs. She is majoring in biology at Salem.
