Volleyball falls to MBC and Hood

Harrisonburg, VA-The Salem College volleyball team dropped their final two matches at the Eastern Mennonite Invitational. They fell to Mary Baldwin in three very close sets 24-26, 24-26, 21-25. They fell to Hood 12-25, 14-25, 24-26. Kylie Taffer was selected to the EMU Invitational All-Tournament Team. Salem falls to 0-4, while MBC improves to 1-4 and Hood to 2-3. 

Bernisha Master had a strong match against Mary Baldwin. She had 8 kills with a .462 kill percentage. Mariah Sharon had a very impressive 6 service aces and she led the team with 10 digs. Brandy Bednorz led the Spirits with 18 set assists and she also had 9 digs.

Taffer led the Spirits in the Hood match with 6 kills and a .192 kill percentage. Bednorz led the team with 15 assists and 14 digs. Taffer had 3 service aces.

The Spirits open up their home campaign on Wednesday when they host Greensboro College.
