Volleyball falls in three to Huntingdon

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team lost in three sets to Huntingdon yesterday. The Hawks won 3-0 (19-25, 16-25, 25-27). The Spirits had their best set in the final frame as they pushed the set to extra points, before Huntingdon took the set and the match. Salem falls to 2-11, while Huntingdon improves to 7-16.

Kylie Taffer had a strong match for Salem as she finished with 9 kills and a .217 hitting percentage. She also led the team with 9 digs. Mariah Sharon led the team with 2 service aces and she also had 8 digs and 5 kills. Bernisha Master had 2 solo blocks, and Brandy Bednorz had 23 set assists. Julissa Almonte accounted for 9 digs. 

The Spirits return home on Wednesday as they try to avenge an earlier loss to Bluefield State.
