Volleyball drops home match to Bluefield State

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team fell at home 3-0 (13-25, 17-25, 14-25) against Bluefield State. Bluefield gets the regular season sweep of Salem with the win. Kylie Taffer led the Spirits with 9 kills. Salem fell to 2-12 on the season in the non-conference match.

The Spirits best set was the second set, as the two teams went back and forth until the end. Taffer led the team with a .240 hitting percentage. Ashlen Rector had 7 digs and Bernisha Master had 6 digs for Salem. Hannah Ogle, starting her first-match as the setter, led the Spirits with 19 assists. Taffer and Morgan Proulx each had 1 block assist.

The Spirits play a crucial Great South match on Saturday when they host Georgia Wesleyan at 2:00.
