Volleyball loses regular season finale

Greensboro, NC-The Salem College volleyball team fell in their final regular season game of the year at Guilford 3-2 (14-25, 25-17, 24-26, 19-25). Kylie Taffer had a strong 13 kills in the match to lead the Spirits. The Spirits fall to 3-15, while Guilford improves to 7-17. 

After falling in the first set, Salem took control in the second set. The third set was the pivotal set of the match. The two teams went into extra points, before Guilford snagged the set and control of the match. 

Mariah Sharon had a very strong 31 digs in the match. Ashlen Rector added 17 digs and Brandy Bednorz had 12 digs. Bednorz led the Spirits with 30 set assists. Bernisha Master had 2 solo blocks and 2 block assists.

The Spirits will now head to the Great South Tournament in Decatur, GA next weekend.
