Volleyball drops home opener against Guilford

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team rode a great opening week into their home opener against Guilford, but after a close first set, Guilford was able to pull out the win. The Quakers won 3-0 (22-25, 11-25, 19-25). The Spirits fall to 3-3, while Guilford improves to 4-2.

Kylie Taffer led the Spirits with 11 kills and Taylor Moulton added 10 kills. Mariah Sharon led the team with 13 digs, and had their only service ace. Once again, Hannah Delcamp led the Spirits with 22 set assists. Rachael Kerr led the team with one solo block and one block assist. 

The Spirits get a twelve day break before they travel to take on Greensboro College on September 20th.
