Volleyball comes up short in two conference matches

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team came up short in two USA South home matches against Averett and Greensboro. Averett defeated Salem 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-22), and Greensboro won 3-1 (28-26, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22). The Spirits fall to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the USA South. Averett improves to 11-6 and 3-0, and Greensboro improves to 9-6 and 2-2.

Hannah Delcamp led the Spirits with 61 set assists. Taylor Moulton led the team on the day with 21 kills, while Kylie Taffer had 15 and Madelyn Chappell had 14. Mariah Sharon led the team with 33 digs. Bernisha Master had 3 solo blocks and 11 block assists.

Salem returns to the road this week when they travel to Hollins on Tuesday for a non-conference match.
