Volleyball falls in five sets at Guilford

Greensboro, NC-The Salem College volleyball team battled through five sets at Guilford last night, before the Quakers won the match. The Spirits improved steadily from their first match with Guilford this season. Guilford won the match 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 19-25, 25-20, 11-15). Salem falls to 6-12, while the Quakers improve to 8-9. 

Madelyn Chappell led the Spirits with 17 kills and a .447 kill percentage. Kylie Taffer added 14 kills and Taylor Moulton had 11 kills. Hannah Delcamp led the Spirits with 44 set assists. Mariah Sharon had a strong 27 digs, while Moulton had 23 and Delcamp had 16. Bernisha Master had an impressive 8 blocks.

Salem returns to action this weekend when they play nationally ranked Emory and Covenant in Georgia.
