Maryville, TN-The Salem College volleyball team fell just short in a USA South match at Maryville. The Scots won 3-1 (27-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-23) in the close match. Kylie Taffer led the Spirits with 17 kills. Salem falls to 11-17 overall and 3-11 in the USA South, while Maryville improves to 15-14 and 9-5.
Madelyn Chappell added 14 kills and Taylor Moulton had 13 kills. Hannah Delcamp led the Spirits with 49 set assists. Mariah Sharon led the team with 21 digs and 3 service aces.
Salem returns to action Saturday in their regular season finale against Huntingdon.
