Volleyball Player of the Week
Hannah Shields, Averett - The senior outside hitter from Kelling, Virginia averaged 4.60 kills, with a .251 hitting percentage and 3.95 digs per set as the Cougars posted a 3-2 record last week. Shields posted four double-doubles out of her five matches played. In a 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan, Shields tallied 18 kills, 14 digs, one service ace and one block. In a 3-0 loss to Johns Hopkins, Shields totaled eight kills, 12 digs, one service ace and one block. In a 3-1 win over Susquehanna, Shields posted 24 kills, 27 digs, two service aces, one assist and one block. In a 3-1 win over seventh-ranked Mary Washington, Shields notched 21 kills, 13 digs, one assist, one service ace and one block. Finally, in a 3-2 loss to Randolph-Macon, Shields contributed 21 kills, 13 digs, one assist and one service ace. Also Nominated: Danyale Berry, Greensboro; Cece Cogliano, Piedmont; Nia Haller, Maryville; Paige Heck, Agnes Scott; Schuyler Moore, Covenant; Bria Rochelle, Huntingdon; Cheyenne Strickland, Ferrum; Kylie Taffer, Salem.

Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Maggie Hawks, Salem - The freshman libero from Mt. Airy, North Carolina averaged 5.39 digs per set as the Spirits posted a 3-1 record last week. In a 3-2 win over Piedmont, Hawks totaled 18 digs, two assists, one kill and one service ace. In a 3-0 win over Hollins, Hawks posted ten digs, three assists, two kills and one service ace. In a 3-2 loss to Bridgewater, Hawks contributed 39 digs, four assists and one kill. Finally, in a 3-2 win over Roanoke, Hawks tallied 30 digs, one assist and one service ace. Also Nominated: Tori Belcher, Greensboro; Kaitlyn Flickinger, Maryville; Haley Hixon, Piedmont; Bella Kammerer, Agnes Scott; Bria Rochelle, Huntingdon; Emily Stanley, Averett.

Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Danyale Berry, Greensboro - The freshman outside hitter from Las Vegas, Nevada averaged 3.17 kills, with a .304 hitting percentage, per set as the Pride posted a 3-1 record last week. In a 3-0 win over Elizabeth City State, Berry tallied 12 kills and three service aces. In a 3-0 victory over Huntingdon, Berry five kills, two blocks, one assist and one dig. In a 3-0 loss to Lynchburg, Berry totaled ten kills, one dig and one block. Finally, in a 3-0 victory over Emory & Henry, Berry tallied 11 kills, three service aces, two digs, one assist and one block. Also Nominated: Lauren Espinal, Maryville; McKenzie Miller, Averett; Kathryn O'Connell, Salem; Amy Tyma, Huntingdon; Jenna Wendel, Piedmont.
