Greensboro, NC-The Salem College volleyball team split two important USA South matches on the road yesterday. The Spirits currently sit in 4th place halfway through conference play in the USA South East Division. Salem cruised to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-23) win over Greensboro, before falling 3-1 (26-28, 25-18, 19-25, 23-25) to William Peace. Salem is now 14-7 overall, which ties them for the most wins in program history.

In the Greensboro match, Madelyn Chappell led the Spirits with 12 kills, while Taylor Moulton and Kylie Taffer each had 8 kills. Hannah Delcamp had 19 set assists and Lauren Holman had 12. Maggie Hawks led the Spirits with 8 digs, and Taylor Moulton had 7 digs. Moulton led the team with 1 solo block and 4 block assists.

During the neutral site match against William Peace, Kathryn O'Connell had 12 kills and Chappell and Taffer each had 10 kills. Delcamp and Holman each had 21 set assists. Moulton led the team with 18 digs. O'Connell had 1 solo block and 3 block assists. Delcamp led the team with 3 service aces.

Salem returns to the road on Tuesday to take on Methodist, who sits one place behind Salem in fifth place.
