Volleyball falls on the road at Methodist

Fayetteville, NC-The Salem College volleyball team dropped a road match at USA South rival Methodist last night 3-1 (25-17, 16-25, 21-25, 14-25). The Spirits split the season series with the Monarchs. Salem is now 14-8 overall and 5-4 in the USA South East Division, while Methodist improves to 12-8 and 5-4. Both teams currently sit tied in fourth-place in the division.

Kylie Taffer led the Spirits with 11 kills. Cameron Sloop and Taylor Moulton each had 9 kills. Lauren Holman led the Spirits with 18 set assists. Mariah Sharon and Kathryn O'Connell each had 2 service aces, while Bernisha Master and Madelyn Chappell led the team with 2 block assists. Moulton led the Spirits with 12 digs.

Salem returns home on Thursday night for non-conference action with Hollins. They return to USA South action on Saturday with two important matches against Ferrum and North Carolina Wesleyan at home.
