Volleyball upsets Meredith after falling to Averett

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team picked up a very important win in a 3-1 (25-17, 27-25, 23-25, 25-22) against Meredith after falling earlier in the day to Averett 3-0 (17-25, 18-25, 18-25). The Spirits remain in fourth place with a chance to move into the top three in the final week of USA South East Division play. Salem is now 20-9 overall and 9-5 in the USA South.

Against Averett, Kylie Taffer led the Spirits with 7 kills. Lauren Holman led the Spirits with 12 set assists and 3 service aces. Maggie Hawks had a team-high 11 digs and Kathryn O'Connell had 9 block assists. 

In the victory over Meredith, Taffer had 13 kills and Taylor Moulton and Madelyn Chappell each had 12 kills. Hannah Delcamp had 23 set assists and Holman had 21. Hawks had 25 digs and Bernisha Master led the team with 5 block assists. 

Salem will play Pfeiffer, Greensboro, and William Peace in their final week of the regular season.
