Sprits Go 2-0 in Matches at Greensboro College

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Salem women's volleyball team went 2-0 this weekend as they traveled across town for two conference matches at Greensboro College. With 3-0 sweeps against N.C. Wesleyan and Greensboro, the Spirits are now 4-1 in conference play.

Box Score

A strong offensive outing by three Spirits helped lead the team to a 3-0 win over the Bishops.  Taylor Moulton tallied a double-double with 13 digs and 15 kills, while Dixie Fulk contributed 18 assists and eight digs. Sophomore Kathryn O'Connell produced sevens and four assists to go with a .312 hitting percentage. Rookie Brooklyn Snow earned eight kills while Maggie Hawks added 13 digs on the defensive side of the ball.

The Spirits finished the match against the Pride with a .275 hitting percentage and a total of 84 digs, 49 kills and 40 assists. Hannah Delcamp tallied a double-double with an impressive 32 assists and 12 digs. O'Connell and Moulton continued their dominance on the front row hitting .692 and .310, respectively. Close behind was Madelyn Chappell hitting .240 on the three-set match. Defensively Moulton (16), Hawks (21), O'Connell (10), and Delcamp (12) notched double-digit digs while Alexis Sounderland was close behind with nine.
