Spirits Split Double-Header, Improves to 7-4 in Conference Play

STAUNTON, V.A - The Salem women's volleyball traveled to Staunton, V.A. to the campus of Mary Baldwin to compete in two conference matches on Saturday, October 13th. After the completion of the weekend the Spirits are now 7-4 in conference.

Saturday, October 13th

Double digit kills by two Spirits lead the offense during the four set match. Taylor Moulton tallied 12 kills while Madelyn Chappell was close behind with 10. With her 12 kills and 10 digs Taylor has another double double on the season. Hannah Delcamp had an impressive 20 assists with Dixie Fulk with 15. Fulk had a career high 13 digs. Alexis Sunderland also notched a season high with 22 digs.

Salem College 3, vs. Mary Baldwin 0

The day continued with a 3 set win over Mary Baldwin University. The offense was led Junior Madelyn Chappell with 13 kills. Three Spirits had double digit digs. Alexis Sunderland (20 digs), Corrin Shores (10 digs), and Taylor Moulton (11 digs) together totaled 31 digs on the match. Four Spirits had a hitting percentage over an impressive .300. (Madelyn Chappell, Natalie Rosinski, Brooklyn Snow, and Olivia Henderson)
