Salem's Piernikowski Earns Cross Country Runner Of The Week

LaGrange, GA - The Great South Athletic Conference office has announced the Runner of the Week for Cross Country for the week ending Sept. 12.

Julie Piernikowski of Salem is the Runner of the Week. Piernikowski, a senior, finished 24th overall in the Washington and Lee Invitational with a time of 27:51 for the 6K course. She helped Salem to a fifth place finish behind three ranked teams in the South/Southeast Region.

Also nominated was Kaitlyn Rentz of Wesleyan. No men were nominated for the week.
