Cross country finishes in 10th on muddy Hagan Stone Park course

Greensboro, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 10th place on a very muddy 5K course at Hagan Stone Park. The Spirits competed without two of their top three runners, but Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) had a strong 51st overall finish (24:23). Salem defeated Greensboro College, which was the only other NCAA DIII team on the course.

Tali Schroeder (Lexington, VA) was the second Spirit across the line and 76th overall (27:30). Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) was the third runner from Salem to finish and 85th overall. Alysia McGinnis (High Point, NC) and Evelyn Bradley (Powder Springs, GA) rounded out the top five for the Spirits.

Salem returns to action on October 8th when they will compete in the Wilbur Ross Invitational in Winston-Salem.
