Cross country finishes in 9th at Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational

Hickory, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 9th out of 10 teams at the Lenoir-Rhyne 5K Invitational today. They were the only NCAA Division III program on the course. Cristi Magracia (Lemon Grove, CA) took 1:56 off of her time from last week to finish in 24th place at 21:13.

Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) running in her first meet of the season finished in 37th place (22:06). Bethany Eaton (State Road, NC) was the 3rd Spirit across the line in 54th place (24:47). Tali Schroeder (Lexington, VA) finished in 63rd, Alysia McGinnis (High Point, NC) finished in 72nd, and Evelyn Bradley (Powder Springs, GA) finished in 73rd. The Spirits averaged 24:47 in the meet, and defeated Tusculum. Milligan was the overall winner of the meet.

Salem returns to action in two weeks when they run in the Greensboro XC Invitational on September 24th.
