Cross country competes at Wilbur Ross Invitational

Winston-Salem, NC- The Salem College cross country team finished in 3rd of 4 teams at the Wilbur Ross 5K Invitational hosted by Winston-Salem State.  Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) finished in 7th overall in 22:01.20.  The Spirits averaged 24:38.75 on the course. 

Cristi Magracia (Lemon Grove, CA) finished in 10th overall in 22:43.68.  The next Spirit runner across the line was Elizabeth Penley (Newport, NC) in 14th place.  Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) and Nikki Dillon rounded out the top 5 for the Spirits.

Winston-Salem State was the overall winner, and Livingstone finished in 2nd.  Salem defeated Johnson C. Smith in the race. 

The Spirits head to Virginia Beach next week to take run in the Christopher Newport 6K.
