Friday, 09/21 at the Warren Wilson Invitational 5K in Asheville, NC. Warren

Wilson's top runner this season has been Hanna Butcher, who ran a 14:27 2-mile at the Western Carolina Classic. Warren Wilson is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Toccoa Falls and Tusculum will also be competing in the meet against the Spirits.

Soccer:
Week Schedule:
Wednesday, 09/19 at Ferrum College at 7:00 in Ferrum, VA. Ferrum is currently 2-3, and they are coming off a USA South upset of Piedmont College, who was in the NCAA Tournament last year. The match will be broadcast on the internet here:

Saturday, 09/22 at Agnes Scott at 1:00 in Decatur, GA. Agnes Scott is off to a great start this season against tough competition. They are currently 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the Great South.

Last Week:
Stephanie Hubbard (Sanford, NC) and Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT) each scored in a 2-1 victory at Spelman. The victory moved the Spirits to 1-0 in the Great South and 4-2 overall.

Ferguson was also selected as last week's Great South Player of the Week.

 

Volleyball:
Week Schedule:

The Spirits travel across town on 09/18 to take on Piedmont International at 7:00.

Saturday, 09/22 at Agnes Scott at 7:00 in Decatur, GA. The Scotties are currently 4-4 and 1-1 in the Great South. They defeated Spelman and lost to Covenant in conference play.

Sunday, 09/23 at Wesleyan College at 1:00. Wesleyan is currently 0-6 overall and 0-1 in the Great South. They lost 3-2 to Spelman College in conference play.

Last Week:

The Spirits went 1-3 last week and their record currently stands at 1-4 overall and 0-1 in Great South play. The Spirits lost to Huntingdon College at home in their first Great South match. Salem picked up their first win of the season last Tuesday, when they defeated Allen University at Livingstone. Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) currently leads the Spirits this season with 38 kills overall and 2.1 kills per set. Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) leads the team with 108 set assists overall and 6 set assists per set.
