The old record was 20:01. Salem College finished second at the meet comprised almost entirely of NCAA DII Colleges (5), Salem College being the lone D-III participant. Natali won her first collegiate cross country meet Aug. 30 at the St. Andrews Invitational. She defeated 47 other runners to receive top honors with a time of 21:03. This was a personal best time until the meet on Sept. 6th.  Salem College finished second at the meet of four.

GSAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week - Leah McLeod of Wesleyan

McLeod, a freshman from Gosford, NSW, Australia, has led the Wesleyan College soccer team to a 3-1 start this season, which marks the best start in school history. She has led the Pioneers to wins over Oakwood College, Johnson University Florida (formerly Florida Christian College), and Johnson University - Tennessee.  In an 11-2 victory over Oakwood, the rookie scored 4 goals and had 2 assists in her first collegiate competition.  She followed up that performance with a 2 goal, 1 assist outing in Wesleyan's 10-0 victory over Johnson University of Florida.  In Monday's 7-0 shutout win over Johnson University - Tennessee, McLeod added one more to cap off an impressive week. After scoring only 8 goals a season ago, Wesleyan has already scored 28 in four games, and McLeod has accounted for 7 of those, having converted nearly half of her 17 shots on goal into scores for the Pioneers.

GSAC Volleyball Player of the Week - Lauren Aikens of Agnes Scott

Junior transfer student Lauren Aikens led the Scotties in kills at the Huntingdon Jubilee in the opening weekend of competition.  Over the four match tournament, Aikens accumulated 25 kills, averaging 1.67 kills per set and an attack percentage of .320.  She also led the team in blocks, averaging .60 blocks per set.  The Scotties went 1-3 for the weekend with a 3-2 win over Huntingdon College. At the Greensboro Tournament this past weekend, Aikens proved her consistency with a total of 19 kills (1.58 k/s) over 4 matches. Aikens had a team high of 11 kills and a .625 attack percentage in a 0-3 loss to Greensboro College.
