Greensboro, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 8th at the 31st Annual Greensboro Cross Country Invitational at Hagan Stone Park. They were the 2nd of 5 NCAA DIII teams. Stephanie Verdi led the Spirits and was 30th overall.

Verdi finished in 21:48.60. She was only two spots behind Carrie Ruis from Piedmont College, who was the top DIII finisher. Cristi Magracia continued to drop her time and finished in 40th in 22:13.10. Audrey Wierda ran a great race and came in just one spot and four seconds behind Magracia for Salem. 

Tali Schroeder was the 4th Salem runner across in 25:12.20 and 73rd place. Amanda Johnson rounded out the top five in 25:23.40.

The Spirits conclude their season in two weeks at Walt Disney World on October 11th.
