Wilson, NC-The Salem College cross country team ran at the Bulldog Invitational 5K this weekend at Barton College. Rebecca Locklear finished in first for the Spirits and 31st overall. Salem finished in 8th against NCAA DIIand DIII competition.

Locklear ran in 24:17.94. The next two Salem runners came in back to back. Janine Bardell finished in 38th and Giseline Ponce Martinez finished in 39th. Elizabeth Penley came in 42nd and Bibiana Arroyo-Vargas rounded out the top five for Salem in 55th place.

Salem returns to action this week at the Adidas Challenge in Greensboro on Friday at 6:00.
