Raleigh, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 16th at the Adidas 5K Invitational. The Spirits were the third of four NCAA Division III teams participating in the meet. Janine Bardell was the first Salem runner across the finish line. 

Bardell finished in 111th place in a time of 23:50. Rebecca Locklear was the next Spirit across the line in 117th place in 24:57. Elizabeth Penley was third for Salem (125th), followed by Giseline Martinez Ponce (126th), and Bibiana Arroyo-Vargas (142nd). 

The Spirits return to action on September 26th when they run at the Greensboro Invitational.
