Orlando, FL-The Salem College cross country team wrapped up their 2015 season in exciting fashion at the Disney Cross Country Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Spirits finished in 34th place. Janine Bardell was the top finisher for the Spirits as she was all season long.
Bardell finished in 215th place in a time of 23:10 in the 5k race. Giseline Martinez Ponce was next for Salem in 249th place (24:44). The next runner across the line was also a Spirit as Rebecca Locklear finished in 24:45.
Running in her last meet as a Spirit, Elizabeth Penley finished fourth for Salem. She was 266th overall in 25:43. Penley is a four year member of the team.
Bibi Arroyo-Vargas rounded out the top five for Salem as she finished in 288th. Both Arroyo-Vargas and Julie McGhee set personal records at the meet.
