Winston-Salem, NC-Head Coach Britni Mohney has released the 2016 cross country schedule. The cross country team will compete in their first season in the USA South Athletic Conference.
"It's an exciting time for Salem Cross Country as we enter the USA South," said Coach Mohney. "While we have had great competition in the past, our runners have the opportunity to compete in a conference meet and really showcase their talents."
The Spirits will begin action in early September with two meets at NCAA Division II schools, Catawba and Barton. The next two weeks will be in Greensboro at the Adidas XC Invite and the Greensboro XC Invite.
Coach Mohney said, "joining the USA South is great for our runners because not only will we be pushing ourselves to further limits we will be adding great competition to an already prestigious conference."
The Spirits will compete in their two October meets at Piedmont College in Georgia. The first meet on October 8th is the USA South Preview Meet and the second meet is the USA South Championships on October 29th.
