Wilson, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 7th overall at the Barton Bulldogs Cross Country Invitational. The Spirits competed against 7 NCAA DII schools, 1 NCAA DIII school, and a junior college.
On the 5K course, Janine Bardell was the top finisher for Salem. She finished in 21st overall with a time of 22:49.2. The next Spirit across the line was Meghan Menard in 36th place with a time of 24:54.8.
Jessica Bailey finished in 45th overall and 3rd for Salem (26:27.4). Arlene Perez and Hannah Ross completed the top five for Salem. Pfeiffer was the overall winner of the meet.
The Spirits return to action this weekend in Cary, NC.
