Fayetteville, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 5th out of 8 teams at the Monarch Invite 6K event. The Spirits were the third NCAA DIII finisher in the meet, in their first 6K event of the season.
Janine Bardell finished as the top runner for Salem. She was in 12th overall in 29:30, which was an average mile time of 7:54. Jessica Bailey finished in second for Salem as she has done every meet this season. She was 16th overall in 30:43. Hannah Ross was the third finisher for Salem and 28th overall in 34:11. Una Stroszcek came in just one spot behind Ross in 34:19. Alyssa Bozak was the final scoring runner for Salem in 41st place (36:40).
Salem will return to action on Saturday at the 34th Annual Greensboro XC Invite.
