Demorest, GA-The Salem College cross country team finished in 6th overall and as the 3rd USA South program at the Piedmont Cross Country Invitational. The Spirits team averaged 30:27 on the 6K course and defeated USA South opponents Wesleyan and Huntingdon. The entire Salem team ran personal 6K records at the meet.

Janine Bardell was the top finisher for Salem and 21st overall in 26:23. Jessica Bailey came across the line 6 spots later in 27:22. Hannah Ross was the third Salem finisher and 32nd overall in 29:41. Arlene Perez finished in 43rd and Karen Romero-Mendieta finished 2 spots later to round out the scoring runners for Salem.

The Spirits run their final meet of the year in three weeks at the USA South Championships back at Piedmont.
