Under the direction of Head Coach Kierston Garner, the Salem Spirits Softball team were voted to finish in 2nd Place of the East Division USA South Conference in the 2019 Pre-Season Coaches' Poll. The Spirits finished in 1st place with an overall record of 26-17 and conference record 12-4 last season.

The Spirits return nine players and loss six players from last year's squad.  They have 11 newcomers.
