GAME NOTES

  • In game one Salem's first year, Madison Thomas started and completed her first collegiate win in the circle.
  • Junior, Brittney Morton hit a home run over left field in the bottom of the 4th to stretch the lead.
  • Salem held the Scotties scoreless and kept their bats fired up throughout game two.
  • First-year, Hannah Escala hit a double in the bottom of the 4th to clear the bases for Salem in game two. A big hit produced by the first year to secure the game.

 


 

 


THE SHORT STORY

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.— The Salem Spirits Softball team dominated Agnes Scott at home Sunday afternoon.

The Spirits outscored the Scotties 19-2 in a twin bill. In game one, the Spirits went 10-2 for the win, followed by a 9-0 shutout in game two.

"We hit well today and made some great defensive stops," Head Softball Coach Kierston Garner said. "I am excited for the next few days as we head down to Myrtle to compete."
